Petrykivka Painting in Kremenchuk:
Ten guardians and 11 children took part in the event. Together, they explored the techniques of Petrykivka painting, created their own ornaments, and discovered Ukrainian decorative art through hands-on practice.
The workshop leader told participants about the history and origins of Petrykivka painting and its cultural significance for Ukraine. For the children, it was an opportunity not only to paint, but also to connect with a tradition filled with color, symbolism, and warmth.
These gatherings are especially important because they give families space to rest and recharge. For many guardian families, including those forced to leave their homes because of the war, creativity offers a brief chance to step away from anxiety and focus on something bright and positive.
After the workshop, guardians received food packages and clothing. The families also took part in a photo session to preserve warm memories of the day.
